As.Prof.Dr. Fatmir MEMA - President

Mr. Fatmir Mema has graduated Faculty of Economics, University of Tirana in 1985. For more than 20 years has been professor at Statistics Department of Faculty of Business and Economics, University of Tirana and associated professor at Agriculture University of Kamza and Technological University of Vlora. From 2003 he is Deputy Dean of Faculty of Business and Economics, University of Tirana. From 1992-1993 has been Deputy Minister of Defense of the Republic of Albania for economic affairs. From 2002-2004 has been adviser of Minister of Agriculture. He has been member of the Board of Saving Bank of Albania from 1998-1999 and has worked at different companies as a specialist and consultant for Albanian companies like: “TOENA”, “Albpetrol” co., “Salt” co., and for foreign companies like: “ Walsh Environmental Scientists and Engineers” (a USA company), “IC Consulent” (Austrian company), and for Greek Consultancy co. “HYPODOMY” Phare Projects.

Mr.Mema is editor of Magazine “Economy & Business” (Published by Faculty of Economy, University of Tirana ) and has published in his career different text books, studies, articles and monographs in Albanian press and abroad.

Mr.Mema has implemented and coordinated more than 15 projects for different donors and clients before he became President of ASET in December 2002. During this period he has been Team Leader of more than 20 projects that ASET has developed and implemented until now.

Klodjan SEFERAJ - Executive Director

Mr.Seferaj has a University degree in Finance, Insurance, Banking and Stock Exchange from Academy of Economic Studies, Bucharest, Romania.

During and after the completion of his studies, Mr.Seferaj has worked as economist at Intelligent Habitat System (Romanian company) and Columna Bank in Bucharest, Romania.

After coming to Albania he has worked as economist at “Alko-3K” company and as journalist at Biznesi newspaper and as an economist adviser for creating software for construction firms at “JON” sh.p.k. Tirana, Albania.

In February 2003 Mr.Seferaj has joined the staff of ASET and has contributed as Project Manager and Coordinator for all the projects that ASET has developed until now. Key qualifications: finance, statistics, accounting, economic analyses.

Dritan MONKA – Marketing and Rural Development Expert

Mr.Monka, prior to join ASET, worked as chairman of marketing branch at Albtelecom sh.a. (from 1999 to 2001). From 2002 he is working as Private Sector Development Sub-Program Manager at Mountain Areas Development Agency, Tirana. Mr.Monka possesses a long experience in Management and Marketing issues from different qualifications and training programs in Greece, Finland, Germany, UK etc. He also holds significant previous experiences in rural development and local government decentralization and in other related sectors.

Mr.Monka holds Business Administration degree from Economic Faculty of Tirana University from 1998 and he has had Post Graduation Studies in Agrobusiness Management, Aberdeen , UK in 2003.

Evis SULKA – Fiscal and Finance Expert

Ms.Sulka is the youngest member of ASET team. She holds a Business Administration degree from Economic Faculty of University of Tirana and Master in Bank and Finance (October 2002) from Foundation “Giordan dell'Amore”, Milano, Italy and Master in Economics (October 2000) from Island University, Reykjavik, Iceland. She has a wide experience in theoretical aspects of financial analyses, risk management, project evaluation, consultation service. Ms.Sulka has worked for different international companies providing consultation service and assistance in fiscal legislation sector and has been Chief of Cabinet for Minister of Finance of Albania. Actually she is working also as external lector at Tirana University, Faculty of Economic.

Maqo STRATOBERDHA – Assurance and Banking Expert

Mr.Stratoberdha has a rich experience in issues regarding assurance, banking and financial mediation, working in these fields for more than 15 years. During the time at ASET, he has been engaged in many projects financed by foreign donors, working as trainer, consultant or project manager.

Orjola PAMPURI – Executive Secretary

Ms.Pampuri is a Philosophy – Sociology graduated. She works for ASET since 2002.
